About Zeitgeist : Who is Peter Joseph

Peter Joseph was born in North Carolina to a middle class family. The son of a mailman and a social worker, he began his creative interests with music at a young age. Later, seeking a career in percussion, he moved to New York initially to attend a Conservatory, only to drop out after an inability to afford the tuition. Currently he lives and works in New York City and focuses on media related fields, including music composition, editing, post-production and other A/V related. He is also a former private equity trader, which he often comments upon as being his “introduction to the wasteful, destructive system known as Wall Street”.

After the release of Zeitgeist: Addendum, he founded “The Zeitgeist Movement”, which is a social sustainability organization with members now in nearly every country. His work with The Movement is now a large part of his daily activities – giving lectures and helping to produce relevant media/materials to spread the interest for a new social system- called a Resource-Based Economy. Here are some of the most famous conspiracies in history.

Moon

When Apolo11 became the first manned mission to land on Moon in 1969, the world rejoiced this first successful endeavor with high spirits. However soon this happiness was surrounded by hoax claims that advocated the belief that, Moon landing was never accomplished or was publicized in a different way than it had actually happened. According to the proponents, the mission had been faked in a Hollywood studio using camera tricks. The various questionable aspects listed as the waving flag in an airless atmosphere, footprints, different angles and shades of shadows inspite of one source of light, no stars and so on. Adding to the fears were the reported deaths of the key Apollo personnel and also the missing telemetry data tapes. NASA and American government together laid down a plethora of evidences to negate the faulty assertions. But moon landing still remains under the clouds of doubts for some investigators.

Archeological

This conspiracy revolves around archaeological institute in the United States, the Smithsonian Institute and the existence of the races of giant humans.
The archeological cover-up investigators charge the institute for suppressing the most important discoveries made in America. It is believed that John Wesley Powell, the geologist famous for exploring the Grand Canyon, appointed Cyrus Thomas as the director of the Eastern Mound Division of the Smithsonian Institution’s Bureau of Ethnology. The Institute began to suppress the evidences that revealed the dissemination of culture and civilization via contact by ships, trades and voyages. Also a number of remains of huge skeletons and bones of massive humans that were too enormous than the normal size were excavated but later found missing in the records.

A Thorough Examination is now carried out under the direction of Prof. S. A. Jordan, the Smithsonian Institute and is now prosecuting the most thorough explorations, which will be continued until the last link in the chain is forged. Nearly a mile long tunnel underground, about 1480 feet below the surface, the long main passage has been delved into, to find another mammoth chamber from which radiates scores of passageways, like the spokes of a wheel. Several hundred rooms have been discovered, reached by passageways running from the main passage, one of them having been explored for 854 feet and another 634 feet. The recent finds include articles which have never been known as native to this country, and doubtless they had their origin in the orient. War weapons, copper instruments, sharp-edged and hard as steel, indicate the high state of civilization reached by these strange people. So interested have the scientists become that preparations are being made to equip the camp for extensive studies, and the force will be increased to thirty or forty persons.

Mr. Kinkaid’s Report

Mr. Kinkaid was the first white child born in Idaho and has been an explorer and hunter all his life, thirty years having been in the service of the Smithsonian Institute. Even briefly recounted, his history sounds fabulous, almost grotesque to at least. “First, I would impress that the cavern is nearly inaccessible. The entrance is 1,486 feet down the sheer canyon wall. It is located on government land and no visitor will be allowed there under penalty of trespass. The scientists wish to work unmolested, without fear of archaeological discoveries being disturbed by curio or relic hunters.

The latest news of the progress of the explorations of what is now regarded by scientists as not only the oldest archaeological discovery in the United States, but one of the most valuable in the world, which was mentioned some time ago in the Gazette, was brought to the city yesterday by G.E. Kinkaid, who found the great underground citadel of the Grand Canyon during a trip from Green River, Wyoming, down the Colorado in a wooden boat, to Yuma, several months ago. According to the story yesterday to the Gazette by Mr. Kinkaid, the archaeologist of the Smithsonian Institute, which is financing the explorations, have made discoveries which almost conclusively prove that the race which inhabited this mysterious cavern, hewn in solid rock by human hands, was of Oriental origin or possibly from Egypt tracing back to Ramses. If their theories are borne out of the translation of the tablets engraved with hieroglyphics, the mystery of the prehistoric peoples of North America, their ancient arts, who they were and whence they came, will be solved. Egypt and the Nile and Arizona and the Colorado will be linked by a historical chain running back to ages which staggers the wildest fancy of the fiction.

The New World Order

Vimanas

India has always been known as land of stories and mysteries. The word Vimana has been talked about a lot in Indian mythology. This Sanskrit word derives its meaning from vi- = “apart” and ma-na- = “having been measured”. Ancient stories basically talk about four Vimanas and they are Shakuna Vimana, the Sundara Vimana, the Rukma Vimana and the Tripura Vimana. Used by deities to travel this world and other, Vimana have huge significance in the vedic literature.

When you talk about Vimanas you are actually talking about machines and these machines are all quite understandable and believable, but there are other machines that seem less plausible from the point of view of modern historical thinking. Thus Raghavan mentions a device that could create a tempest to demoralize enemy ranks. Such a weapon is also strangely enough? mentioned by the third-century Roman writer Flavius Philostratus, who described sages in India who “do not fight an invader, but repel him with celestial artillery of thunder and lightning, for they are holy and saintly men.” Philostratus said that this kind of fire or wind weapon was used to repel an invasion of India by the Egyptian Hercules, and there is an apocryphal letter in which Alexander the Great tells his tutor Aristotle that he also encountered such weapons.

Conspiracy theorists confident Photoshopped NASA image is a cover-up

NASA is caught with their pants down again. ALIEN conspiracy theorists are confident they’ve caught NASA in the act of covering up the fact we are not alone in the universe. A video posted on YouTube yesterday showed how an image of Saturn’s moons Dione and Titan, taken by NASA’s Cassini orbiter, had been Photoshopped before being added to a Picture of the Day website. In the video, “DominatorPS3″ turned up the brightness levels on the photo to show that a “huge” object can be seen behind the smaller moon, Dione. Clearly visible are brush strokes that show how the rainbow aura of the object has been blacked out.

“More solid proof of NASA/ government coverups,” DominatorPS3 said. “… and this is recent. You can do this yourself!!”

Of course, being the internet, it didn’t take long for the truth to get out there, so to speak. The person responsible for the manipulation, Emily Lakdawalla, told a forum of excitable theorists that she made the changes because of the way Cassini takes photos. “Cassini takes color pictures by snapping three sequential photos through red, green, and blue filters,” she said.

“In the time that separated the three frames, Dione moved, so if I did a simple color composite I would be able to make Titan look right, but not Dione; or Dione look right, but not Titan.

“So I aligned Dione, cut it out, and then aligned Titan, and then had to account for the missing bits of shadow where the bits of Dione had been in two of the three channels.”

She explained the process further at Planetary.org but it still wasn’t enough for the alien hunters, particularly DominatorPS3.

“Thanks for the feedback and explanation,” he said in a comment on the YouTube post.
“However I still remain skeptical because someone still could have ordered her to ‘cut it or something out’.
“But thanks for putting that info up so others can read it; I am not trying to convince people what I believe.”
