You have probably already heard NASAS warning for 2012-2013 and the Solar Storm that awaits us. And there is no doubt that 2011 smashed all modern world records when it came to the most natural disasters in a single year, breaking some three thousand records just in the United States, now over seven and a half thousand records have been broken in just one month. That alone says something. Should this trend continue to escalate greatly 2012, mankind will have to start taking the 2012, 2013 warning signs very seriously.
One thing is also sure, only those who have solar panels will have lights, energy, heat or cell phones. It is important that people understand how fragile nuclear power plants are. They can be crippled by a number of events, but power failure is a very important and often overlooked. The back-up power will only last for a couple of weeks at the most. The Japanese plants failed from power loss.. That is why they are running in power now to get the pumps and water moving again. A complete grid failure for months to years would cause massive meltdowns.
The solar storm that NASA is warning about in 2012 could cause 100s if not 1000s of nuclear plant meltdowns. The US has 107. As a huge loss of power would force plants to use backup power, These plants only have weeks worth AT THE MOST. A large solar storm will cause worldwide blackouts for months maybe years. Counties like India, the US and China have grids that are primitive and all have many nuclear power plants.
(USA) is not much better. We are talking about 100s of Japan level events across the globe at the same time. Nuclear plants can shut down but very slowly. The spent wastes can not. It is in water, when water is lost due to power failure meltdown will happen as sure as a rock falls to the ground when you drop it. This crisis will absolutely happen in 2012! And only those homeowners with solar panels will survive this worldwide blackout. Homeowners in Germany will survive, because 80% of the home are solar-powered. Germany is the best nation on earth when talking the use of green power.
