Ben McLeish works in the library technology and information industry, focusing on search technologies and management systems. His work takes him across much of Europe, including the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and the Nordics. Ben also lectures and educates on the causes and effects of culture with regard to technological development and use (or non-use), and the basis for dominant assumptions within the established social order.
Among the dominant themes are innovation, how society deals with human behavior (including reward and punishment), and what cultural values are needed in the emerging era of increasingly powerful and life-enriching technologies, as well as the possibly destructive uses thereof. Ben earned his BA with honors in English with a separate focus on Literary and Cultural Theory at the University of Warwick in 2002.
