And even more strange is the fact that when i started to look into this alleged Quake, i found out that only yesterday HAARP HAD BEEN TURNED UP AGAIN. Denmark Claims The North Pole – Could Threatend The Whole Stability Between All Arctic States!

This document also said that Denmark’s military will strengthen its focus on the whole Arctic region, but stressed that the Scandinavian nation will work for peaceful cooperation between all the Arctic states. And last week the eight members of the Arctic Council  – Russia, United States, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland agreed to coordinate Arctic search-and-rescue missions. United States has said it wants the cooperation pact to be a template for agreement on more pressing national security issues. According to a leaked draft of the official strategy for the Arctic, Denmark will make an official claim for the territorial rights for the North Pole before the UN deadline in 2014.

This approach marks a new direction for its Arctic strategy: From now on, human needs must go before the needs of the environment. For the first time, a Danish government now officially states that annexation of the North Pole into the Danish Realm is to be one of Denmark’s official policy objectives. This is spelled out in a draft of the official joint Danish-Greenlandic-Faroese strategy for the next 10 years in the Arctic, to be released in June. The document, which has been leaked, makes it clear that »the Kingdom [of Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands] is expected to claim the continental shelf at five sites around the Faroe Islands and Greenland, including the North Pole.« Previously, several Danish government ministers have suggested intentions to this effect, but this is the first documentation that the goal will be official Danish politicly – and thereby susceptible to controversy with Russia and other nations with major interests at stake in the North Pole. The seabed at the North Pole is not expected to harbour any noticeable deposits of oil or gas, and with water depths at 4,300 meters, oil og gas extraction of such resources would at any rate be rather difficult. Nevertheless, the draft official paper on an Arctic strategy contains no other suggestion as to why the annexation of the North Pole should be considered an important priority. Notwithstanding, it is stated that the Danish-Greenlandic territorial claim on the North Pole will be put forward to UN no later than 2014. Privately, Greenland’s Premier, Mr. Kuupik Kleist, professes the viewpoint that the North Pole should remain the property of mankind, but this idea is not mentioned anywhere in the draft of the official strategy.

Full speed ahead on oil

With Strategy For The Arctic Regions 2011-2020, the Danish government agrees to the principle that any extraction of large deposits of oil and gas Greenland would first and foremost require that due consideration is taken to the Greenlanders. The paper stresses that the Greenlandic government itself must decide which environmental considerations should apply to oil and gas extraction. This marks another important victory for Greenland’s government. Greenland has been pushing very hard to put the interests of the Arctic people over the strong focus on environmental issues, polar bears and climate change, which has so far dominated the international debate on the Arctic. Only last week, Greenland’s Premier, Kuupik Kleist, stood up for this point of view at the Arctic Council session in Nuuk, where U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, attended for the first time. In the new Danish-Greenlandic strategy, it is stated that »it is a key objective for the Kingdom [of Denmark] that all decisions regarding the management and use of resources and the protection of the environment should be taken by the Arctic people of the Kingdom themselves. It is emphasized that oil and gas exploration should only be done in accordance with the sharpest security measures, but the overarching priority of Greenland’s economic development needs is now established.

The draft strategy describes the Greenland’s cooperation relationship with the Scottish oil company Cairn Energy that found the first traces of oil off Greenland in 2010 as »very positive«, and Greenland’s environmental requirements for the company are characterised as »high«. At the same time, the paper points out that Greenland and the Faroe Islands will continue to be »coveted areas for exploration« for oil companies. In this context, the strategy also confirms the ambitious oil plans, that Greenland’s government has already put forward: Even the heavily ice-plagued waters off the northernmost East Greenland are now to be opened for international companies. This extension of Greenland oil concessions which are the northernmost in the world will take place already in 2012. There is no mention of the fact that Greenland’s Home Rule Government just recently granted Cairn Energy permission to conduct new test drillings at water depths down to 1,500 meters this coming summer. During the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010, Greenland was invited to postpone Cairn’s test drillings until the causes of the disaster in the Gulf of Mexico were better known. The Greenlandic authorities chose, however, to proceed without any delay, the reason being that the drillings in Greenland in 2010 were to take place at significantly lower water depths than the ones at the crashed drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, which were carried out at 1,500 meters depth. This year, Greenland has given its approval of deep water wells.

A binding strategy

The new Arctic Strategy will also bind a possible new centre-left-government [2011 is election year in Denmark] but a change of government could instigate interesting discussions with Greenland. After the latest Arctic Council session in Nuuk, Mr. Steen Gade – environment policy spokesman for Socialistisk Folkeparti [the likely junior partner in a new centre-left government] – has called for consultations with Denmark’s foreign minister, Mrs. Lene Espersen, in the parliamentary environment committee and proposed new international treaty rules for the development of the Arctic region, where environmental concerns should take precedence. Still since 2008, the idea of an increased international regulation has been fiercely resisted by Greenland’s home rule government as well as by Denmark, the U. S. A., Russia, Norway and Canada. For Greenland and Denmark, a looser cooperation within the Arctic Council is the higher preference. Mr. Kuupik Kleist and Mrs. Lene Espersen were both very optimistic after the meeting in Nuuk, where for the first time its 15 years history, the Arctic Council adopted a binding agreement for its eight member countries. The agreement may be modest in scope and deals primarily with emergency services for the benefit of seamen and tourists, but Espersen and Kleist believes that with time, the agreement will pave the way for further binding agreements, for instance on joint cleaning-up operations in the Arctic in case of oil spills. Observers of the environmental movement, including the WWF, were less optimistic, though. WWF criticized the Arctic Council for focusing solely on measures of cleaning up rather than preventing oil spills and to completely abstain form taking concrete steps to reduce climate change.

Gunpowder and bullets

The new Arctic Strategy cements plans for a stronger Danish military focus on the Arctic. Danish warships in the Arctic are already patrolling more intensively in the northernmost waters of Greenland than they used to and this will continue. In future, the Danish war ships will be given access to diesel fuel and other supplies at the U.S. base in Thule, thus enabling them to sail even further to the north. Greenland’s Command and The Faroese Command is to merge into a common Arctic Command in Nuuk. The abilities of Denmark’s Defence to engage in »sharp operations« in the Arctic must be reinforced with an »Arctic Reaction Force«. This force is to consist of soldiers with specific Arctic training, who can be mobilised and deployed from Denmark if the need arises. The idea of deploying fighter planes in Greenland which was mentioned in the latest defense agreement for 2010-2014, is however not mentioned in the new Arctic strategy.

I sincerely hope that this new grip by the Danish government doesn’t create instability in the region. No danger for it between the Nordic countries but, I mean between Russia, United States, Canada or maybe even China and Denmark.

New Methods From Mainstream Astronomers – To Search For Alien Signals From 86 Planets

I believe what triggered the astronomers now, to take new action and search in a much wider area / spectra is because ever since February 2003, astronomers became deeply involved in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) and pointed it`s massive radio telescope in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, at around 200 sections of the sky. The same telescope had previously detected unexplained radio signals at least twice from each of these regions, and the astronomers were trying to reconfirmed the findings. The team has now finished analysing the data, and all the signals seem to have disappeared. Except one, which amazingly enough got stronger. This radio signal, now seen on three separate occasions, is an enigma. It could be generated by a previously unknown astronomical phenomenon. Or it could be something much more mundane, maybe an artefact of the telescope itself. But it also happens to be the best candidate yet for a contact by intelligent aliens in the nearly six-year history of the SETI@home project, which used programs running as screen savers on millions of personal computers worldwide to sift through signals picked up by the Arecibo telescope. This could be the reason they now “go for it” for real. It`s always funny to listen and see what these poor, “kept in the dark” scientist`s come up with.

A massive radio telescope in rural West Virginia has begun listening for signs of alien life on 86 possible Earth-like planets, US astronomers said Friday. The giant dish began this week pointing toward each of the 86 planets — culled from a list of 1,235 possible planets identified by NASA’s Kepler space telescope and will gather 24 hours of data on each one.

“It’s not absolutely certain that all of these stars have habitable planetary systems, but they’re very good places to look for ET,” said University of California, Berkeley, graduate student Andrew Siemion.

The mission is part of the SETI project, which stands for Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence, launched in the mid 1980s. Last month the SETI Institute announced it was shuttering a major part of its efforts a 50 million dollar project with 42 telescope dishes known as the Alien Telescope Array (ATA) due to a budget shortfall. Astronomers hope the Green Bank Telescope, a previous incarnation of which was felled in a windstorm in 1988, will provide targeted information about potential life-supporting planets, even if on a smaller scale.

“We’ve picked out the planets with nice temperatures — between zero and 100 degrees Celsius — because they are a lot more likely to harbor life,” said physicist Dan Werthimer, a veteran SETI researcher.

The project will likely take a year, and will be helped by a team of one million at-home astronomers, known as SETI@home users, who will help process the data on personal computers.

Swedish Air Force Releases Qaddafi Aircraft Images

At least the Swedes release some pictures, compared to the other armed forces who`s keeping them locked up tight, and not showing anything. The Swedish Air Force have released photographs, which it claims indicates that Muammar Qaddafi still retains several fighter aircraft. The fighter planes are reported to be standing at an airport in the capital Tripoli. As the UN-backed Libya mission enters its second month, an opinion poll shows that Swedes are split on the issue of continuing involvement in the effort. Anders Silwer of the Swedish air force said that the pictures show, that while Qaddafi is not using the planes, they remain intact while pointing out that probably pose no threat.

“There is probably a bomb crater made in the runway so that they can’t be used.”

They would otherwise have been bombed directly, he said. Silwer explained that to ensure that the aircraft do not become serviceable again, close monitoring is required and argued that Sweden’s contribution remains important in that respect.

“We are responsible for about a third of the intelligence resources accounted for by military aviation,” he says.

The Armed Forces have previously only released a few individual photos from the Libya operation. Questions emerged on Friday about how recently the pictures had been taken, with the Dagens Nyheter daily reporting that there were distinct similarities to the pictures in the Google Earth application. Neither the armed forces nor Google were able to confirm to the newspaper when exactly the pictures were taken. The Liberal Party defence policy makers Allan Widman however stated that there is no reason to doubt the Armed Forces’ assessment that the pictures show Libyan air force assets.

“If it is Libyan air force, it is clear that as long as Gaddafi is in power, he will have or acquire such resources,” Widman said.

Widman however did not want the pictures to be taken as evidence that the mandate for the Swedish Griffin planes to maintain the no-fly zone remained unfinished.

“That assessment has to be for the UN Security Council to do. And if it is felt that the mission is not complete then we should follow,” he said.

The Swedish parliamentary mandate for the Libya deployment expires on July 1st. Social Democrat leader Hakan Juholt has said he finds it very hard to imagine that the mandate would be extended, provoking a storm of criticism from the centre-right parties and from some fellow Social Democrats. Swedish public opinion is divided on the issue, according to a survey published by Novus on Friday, with 43 percent supporting the withdrawal of the planes on July 1st. Some 38 percent of Swedes supported extending the military operation, while the rest remained uncertain. Novus interviewed 1000 people from May 5th to 10th. The survey showed that Hakan Juholt had the support among the party’s own supporters for his argument to bring the planes home, with 57 percent in favour, while 28 percent backed an extension after July 1st. A majority of supporters of all the centre-right Alliance coalition parties are in favour of extending the mandate. Some 77 percent of Centre Party voters supported continuing the mission. The least support for an extension of the mission is among supporters of the Left Party and Sweden Democrats, with a majority in favour of withdrawal.

Breaking News : White House Letter Addresses Potential “Impending Asteroid Collision with Earth”

So now things are really heating up. Apparently a 10 page letter is out on the web which proves that US NASA and the White House know about ELENIN and consider it “a real threat” it`s possible even more dangerous against earth than we understand. They are calculating and preparing to if possible take action against this Comet. Comet C/2010 X1 (Elenin) was only  “discovered” by Leonid Elenin on December 10, 2010, in the official White House letter below, written back in late October 2010, the White House addressed the possibility of an asteroid striking the Earth. The terminology used in this letter, along with several other facts that have emerged in the time since the letter was written, lead me to believe that our “shadow” government and elements within NASA have long known that anticipated effects of the arrival of Comet Elenin would indeed be much greater than they are telling the public. In fact, I believe that the White House letter below may be the “smoking gun” to help prove that the government indeed does know that the potential consequences facing planet Earth from this comet will be far more disastrous than what they are “officially” telling the public.

In breaking down this letter, it’s important to address several questions that have since had more recent information come to light. Why was it that NASA turned off the granddaddy of all NEO (Near Earth Objects) telescopes this year after the letter below clearly shows how important it is to monitor such incoming objects due to their propensity to “change” orbit?  Why are we not getting any straight information from mainstream media about Comet Elenin while most google searches on Elenin will bring you straight to the alternative news sites throughout the world?

It`s urgent say top palaeoclimatologist! Warning everyone to prepare for a new Ice Age!

Chilling new evidence from the Atlantic Ocean is raising fears that the whole World soon could be gripped by a new Ice Age. Geological records collected now shows that Ice Ages are the norm, punctuated by brief periods of warming. And now one of the most highly respected palaeoclimatologist George Kukla, 77, retired professor of paleoclimatology at Columbia University and researcher at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory – has weighed in and is warning everyone to prepare for a new Ice Age.

The “Earth has experienced an ongoing cycle of ice ages dating back millions of years. Cold, glacial periods affecting the polar to mid-latitudes persist for about 100,000 years, punctuated by briefer, warmer periods called interglacial,” says Kukla.

Kukla asserts all Ice Ages start with a period of global warming. They are the harbingers of new Ice Ages. Actually, he explains, warming is good. Ice Ages are deadly and may even kill millions. Can Mankind stop it? No. Just as humanity cannot affect the long-term climate of the planet, neither can it stop an Ice Age from happening. The climate is primarily driven by the sun.

“I feel we’re on pretty solid ground in interpreting orbit around the sun as the primary driving force behind Ice Age glaciation,” he says. “The relationship is just too clear and consistent to allow reasonable doubt. It’s either that, or climate drives orbit, and that just doesn’t make sense.”

During a lengthy interview with Gelf Magazine, Kukla explained: What is happening is very similar to the time 115,000 years ago, when the last glaciation started…. Believe it or not, the last glacial started with ‘global warming!’ He knows that global warming always precedes an Ice Age. The history of that is in the ice core records repeating itself every 100,000 years or so over millions of years. Generations ago, scientists believed Ice Ages advanced slowly taking tens of thousands of years. Now some researchers have revealed startling evidence that an Ice Age can be triggered in under 10 years. Warming is much more preferable than cooling. Warming would actually help Mankind; cooling will do just the opposite. Kukla and his colleagues warn that as the ice starts marching southward from the Arctic there will be “substantially lowered food production” and evidence will abound of “extreme weather anomalies” in both the northern and southern latitudes.

Global superstorms may also break out. Some regions may experience anomalous cold spells while others roast from spiking temperatures never before seen by civilization. Those things too are exactly what’s happening now. If this in some way has to do with the ongoing magnetic pole-shift nobody knows for now. Not taken into Kulka’s model of an encroaching Ice Age are the facts and the possible impact of the magnetic pole shift, the shifting core of the Earth, or the revelation by NASA and the ESA that the sun is going to fall into a quiet period for the next 30 to 50 years. That exceptional solar minimum cycle is expected to start in late 2012, perhaps earlier. It seems the odds are good that the Earth will slip into an extended cooling, or so-called mini-Ice Age. Whether that becomes an extended 100,000 year full-fledged Ice Age even Kulka doesn’t know.

And according to my own investigation nobody else knows either. This is very worrying and if you look at the recent events, one could believe that it`s already started. JAPAN EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI 3-11-11, THE UNDERWATER FAULT SNAPPED OVER 60 FEET, THE ENTIRE ISLAND OF JAPAN SHIFTED 8 FEET, THE AXIS OF THE EARTH MOVED 4 INCHES and not to forget HAITI. Support for the magnetic pole-shift came out with a former high ranked employee at Boeing, last year when he stated: WE ARE GOING TO GO THROUGH A MAGNETIC ENERGY RIBBON VERY SOON AND IT WON’T BE FUN. WE KNOW THIS. When and if this magnetic pole-sift or regular pole-shift take place, then we must be thoroughly prepared. It won’t take very much, I’m sure!. It will not be long until people hit the panic button. The amount of convenience that people rely and enjoy is entirely based on electricity alone. If the “shift” start taking out electricity and satellites, then people are going to lose their grip on reality. People don’t have maps anymore. People use their iPhones or GPS systems, so if there’s no electricity, and no maps” And then what? The way I see it, all chaos breaks loose.

George Kukla’s biography

George Kukla, Micro-palentologist and Special Research Scientist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University, is a pioneer in the study of solar forcing of climate changes. He was the lead author of the scientific paper that first supported Milutin Milankovic’s theory of glacial cycles by investigating the stratigraphy in deep-sea sediment cores from the southern Indian Ocean. In the cores were clear imprints of Milankovic’s proposed cycles. In his paper he wrote, “We are certain now that changes in the Earth’s orbital geometry caused the ice ages. The evidence is so strong that other explanations must now be discarded or modified.” Prior to joining Columbia in 1971, he had published landmark studies in Czechoslovakia, where he was a member of the Czechoslovakian Academy of Science.
